SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit a Statistical Analyst to work for our client a fast moving leader within their field. Our client has a fantastic reputation within the online gaming industry as a fantastic employer with a real employee driven mentality. Due to recent and continued growth my client are now looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Statistical Analyst to join the team.
The statistical analysis team´s role is to analyse, monitor and optimise the performance of the business by providing reports and analysis based on data to support the business decisions.
Candidate responsibilities:
* Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modelling data in order to influence effective Business decisions.
* Using sound analytical and investigative approach and techniques to understand or draw effective conclusions.
* Understanding relational databases and use of data manipulation language commands to ensure the data is effectively retrievable and of a high quality.
* Working closely with different parts of the Business to have full insight into Business requirements, dependencies and impacts.
* Effectively communicate to different people in the Business on analysis of complex business issues in an easily understandable way.
* Using statistical tools, e.g. Excel, SAS, SPSS for designing and presenting conclusions effectively.
* Working closely with team members to learn and support each other in meeting Business requirements and deadlines.
Candidate skills and experience:
* Substantial experience in an analytical position and experience of influencing business change
* Substantial SQL skills with experience of working with large datasets
* Experience using statistical tools such as SAS or SSPS
* Good skills in Microsoft Excel and other statistical tools
* Proven experience of advanced statistical analysis and reporting
* Documentation / process writing skills
* Degree or equivalent qualification within financial mathematical or economic discipline
* Experience of working in an on-line gaming environment
* Experience of working in an e-commerce environment
* Experience of Modelling and data mining
